Curt
was introduced to barbershop while growing up in Westminster,
Colorado.
He saw a flyer in his high school chorus room
announcing that the Mile High chapter of the society was
holding a Young Men In Harmony barbershop quartet contest for
high school kids in the Denver metro area.
His quartet took second place in the contest and from
that point on he was hooked.
He joined the Ames, IA barbershop chorus in 1981 while
attending Iowa State University and has been a member of the
society ever since. Other quartets he has sung in include
Standing Invitation, Court Avenue Quartet and Sound Exchange.
Curt owns his own business located in Ames.
Curt and his wife Carolyn are parents of two teenage
daughters, which explains the no hair thing, Katie and
Lindsey. |
