NOTE: The 2027 International Chorus Contest will feature a two-round format.
- The top 10 seeded choruses (ranked by prelims scores and based on the choruses who
accept the invitation to compete) will automatically qualify to sing in the Finals
Round on Saturday of convention week.
- All other choruses seeded 11th and lower will compete in the Chorus Semi-Final
Round on Friday (including qualifying choruses from each of the 17 Districts)
regardless of ensemble classification, competing in its home district's preliminary
chorus contest, and scoring a minimum of 74% average. In addition, any BHS chorus
that scores an average of 81% or more will also be invited to compete in the
Chorus Semi-Final round. Additional choruses may be invited if required to provide
a maximum of 30 choruses from BHS in the International Chorus Contest. One or more
choruses from Global Alliance organizations may also be invited by the BHS executive
director.
- The top 5 choruses from the Semi-Final Round will advance to the Final Round.
